A letter of hope

I have hope. I dream. I wish.

I hope that things will be fine tomorrow. I dream of a better world tomorrow. I wish for more peace. And I know that each of these will become true.

People will know about global warming and things will be alright. People will see that poverty is killing millions, and will find a way out. We will know that population is increasing beyond control and we will fix it. We will begin to use science the way it is meant to be used, for the good of mankind and not for destruction. When people fight fear, terrorists will give up. There will be peace. When people are not afraid of other people they stop fighting against them. Because they know that those people are not afraid. They talk about their problems directly, because they are not afraid. And then they propose bold solutions because they do not fear backlash.

And one of those people is me.

I will be a better person tomorrow. I will learn from my mistakes. I will be a better citizen. I will use less water. I will throw less waste. I will buy less things. I will act with wisdom and not cleverness. I will be responsible. I will share what I have with those who do not. I will give. I will love. I will not fear.

I will hope.
